The American Lash Certification Board ("ALCB," "we," "us," "our") is a private professional association headquartered in Hemet, California. ALCB is not a government regulatory body, licensing board, educational accrediting agency recognized by the U.S. Department of Education, or employer. Any standards or guidelines published by ALCB are professional guidelines and do not constitute legal mandates or government regulations.
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account or purchase services. By creating an account or making a purchase, you represent that you have the legal capacity to enter into a binding agreement.
ALCB offers: (a) the ALCB Recertification Course at $29.95 one-time; (b) ALCB Membership at $14.95/month recurring; (c) Educator Certification and Academy Approval (pricing upon application); (d) Salon Certification (pricing upon application). All prices are subject to change with 30 days written notice to existing members.
Recertification Course: $29.95 one-time. All sales final. No refunds after purchase. Lifetime access.
30-Day Free Trial: Begins at the time of course purchase, not upon completion. Full benefits activate immediately. If not cancelled before the trial ends, $14.95/month charge begins automatically.
Membership: $14.95/month recurring. Cancel anytime. Upon cancellation, access continues through end of current billing period. After that: directory listing shows "Inactive," badge deactivates, community access revoked. No partial-month refunds.
Educator/Academy/Salon Fees: Non-refundable once the review process has begun.
ALCB does not employ, supervise, insure, endorse, or guarantee the work of any artist in the directory. A listing does not constitute a recommendation or warranty. Clients are solely responsible for verifying that any artist meets applicable licensing requirements and carries appropriate insurance. ALCB is not liable for any injury, damage, or dispute arising from services performed by any ALCB-certified artist.
ALCB's recertification does not replace any state or federal licensing requirement. All regulatory information on thealcb.org is for informational purposes only and may not reflect current requirements. Both artists and consumers are solely responsible for independently verifying all applicable laws with the relevant government authority.
Completion does not guarantee employment, income, client satisfaction, or professional success. ALCB makes no representations about earning potential or career advancement.
The ALCB Approved seal indicates review against ALCB's internal criteria. It does not constitute a warranty, guarantee of safety, FDA approval, or medical endorsement. Users assume all risk when using any product.
ALCB's name, logo, badge designs, seals, marks, course content, and all thealcb.org content are ALCB's intellectual property. Active members receive a limited, revocable license to display their badge while membership is active. Upon cancellation, all rights cease immediately. Course materials may not be reproduced or distributed without written authorization.
You agree to indemnify and hold harmless ALCB from any claims, damages, losses, and expenses arising from your professional practice, your use of ALCB credentials, any dispute with your clients, your violation of these Terms, or any third-party claim related to your business.
Members shall not misrepresent credential status, use ALCB marks after membership lapses, share account access, or reproduce course materials. ALCB may suspend or terminate membership for violations without refund.
Recognition designations are subject to ongoing compliance and may be revoked. Fees are non-refundable once review begins. Designations are ALCB's internal professional recognitions and do not constitute government accreditation.
Governed by California law. Disputes resolved through binding arbitration in Riverside County, California. Each party bears own costs. Both parties waive jury trial and class action participation.
ALCB's total liability shall not exceed amounts paid in the preceding 12 months. ALCB is not liable for indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages.
ALCB may update these Terms at any time. Material changes communicated via email with 30 days notice. Continued use constitutes acceptance.
If any provision is found unenforceable, remaining provisions remain in effect. These Terms constitute the entire agreement.
